This is what we are doing in solidarity with your union tomorrow.  We pray for peace, we work for peace.  We live for the day when peace is more prevalent than war.

We hope your protest goes well.  We will look for coverage on the mainstream media.

Peace,
Kathe & Paul

Therefore in solidarity with the West Coast Longshoreman’s Union on Thursday,  May 1st, May Day, we are meeting at the Soldiers & Sailors monument in New London from 12 noon until 1pm.

That sounds really great, and I am reaching out to all my contacts to let them know.  If you cannot be in New London, do something on May Day to support the ongoing effort to end the occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan.

Take the day (hour) off work, and tell your employer why.
Don’t buy anything.
Let people know you support the Longshoreman’s “No Peace, No Work” protest.
If you are a member of a union talk to your union rep to see if there is anything you can do in solidarity to support this very politically active union.
Remember the unions have made many, many positive changes for the average American.  There is truly strength in numbers.

Paul and I will definitely be making a sign that speaks to our “Solidarity with the West Coast Longshoreman’s Protest….No Peace, No Work”.  We will have other signs as well.  I hope to see everyone who can be there, there.

Peace & Love,
Kathe & Paul
